I must admit that I have not been following the debate on healthcare all that closely. As is true for many people in life, I guess I didn't care enough to follow it as it much as I should because it did not apply to me...or so I thought.
I am currently a graduate student at Clemson University. For anyone that has ever been a student, you know that tight living is a part of the lifestyle. In grad school, I received an assistantship, which not only paid for my schooling, but meant that I had to pay something like $37/semester for health insurance. Now, in my final semester, I am only taking 6 credits, removing me from full-time status, and thus from the insurance subsidy. Instead of paying the full price to the University and being limited to the University Health Center, I opted to apply for a single coverage, BlueCross BlueShield plan. I was approved, and for a decent personal plan, dental, and vision, I was to pay $139.53. Maybe I am naive, but I was okay with that.

I love the way it looks and I love that it slows everything downnnnnn. It almost forces you to stop and enjoy the glisten. Rowdy, my 10 pound dog has fairly long hair this time of year, so he comes in with decorations of little white balls of snow all over his undersides and legs - grinning from ear to ear.
With the new website up I feel like I'm decompressing, like I have my life in hand for a change. New projects are perking around the corner, for right now, everything is kopecetic.
