We here at The New Green Economy are enthusiastic about the upcoming New Green Economy Conference and Expo in Washington D.C.! The National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE) has chosen as this year’s theme the emerging new green economy and the importance of investing in green education, research, and jobs in an effort to help solve the economic and environmental crises the confront both our country and the world.
The three-day conference’s agenda includes workshops, roundtable discussions, and symposia headed by some of the nation’s foremost experts in both the economic and environmental fields. Part of the conference’s agenda also includes breakout sessions covering twenty-five specific content areas. These sessions aim to establish a series of recommendations that will then be passed on to the Obama administration and Congress.
